I've created a new repository ('Test') in Kiln and I have attempted to clone it so that I can add files.
I've tried cloning it from the command line as instructed, using:
hg clone "https://Matthew Murdoch@xxxxx.kilnhg.com/Repo/Repositories/Group/Test"
but it returns the following error message after a few seconds:
abort: error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
Trying this with TortoiseHg gives a similar error message:
urlopen error [Errno 10060] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
My Kiln site is up and running and I can perform actions on it via a web browser.
Things I've Tried:
Installing Kiln Client over TortoiseHg
I installed the Kiln Client over the top of TortoiseHg but it gives the same error message.
Removing Spaces From URL
Changing my name via
Kiln | Admin | Users | Edit | Full name changes the command line to:
hg clone https://Matthew@xxxxx.kilnhg.com/Repo/Repositories/Group/Test
(i.e. minus the space and surrounding double quotes) but does not fix the problem.
Uninstalling Kiln Client and TortoiseHg and Reinstalling Kiln Client
Just in case installing Kiln Client over the top of TortoiseHg might not really have installed it properly. Same problem.
Changing Internet Explorer LAN Connection Settings
Internet Explorer (7) | Tools | Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings | Automatically detect settings checked but no explicit proxy server set up. I've tried unchecking this but it doesn't seem to have any effect on
hg (although I can't view web sites any longer!).
Could this be a firewall issue? Are there any
hg settings I need to configure?
