Mozilla Firefox is constantly advising me that it lacks a plug-in needed to display all of the content on certain Kiln pages. When I click the "install missing plugins" button, I'm told that Adobe Flash is the missing one. Any page that lists changesets appears to need it. The page showing all of the repositories does not, but the page showing the changesets for a repository does.

What benefit will I gain by installing Flash?

The only place we use Flash is to provide a button for copying a repo's clone URL to your clipboard, since browsers don't have direct clipboard access. You won't be missing anything if you don't want to install Flash.

Thanks! I might install it anyway just to keep Firefox from reminding me on every page that I'm missing it. – Scott Ventura Sep 1 2010 at 15:33
I've opened a case to not include the Flash object if the user doesn't have Flash installed. That way Firefox will stop bugging you. – Tyler Hicks-Wright Sep 1 2010 at 21:32
