Just signed up for Kiln, and created a 'Test' repo. It turns out Kiln actually create two repos with the same name (Test & Test), although their URL's do have a different numerical postfix (Test-8 & Test-9).

I assume this is a bug, since trying to create a third 'Test' repo actually fails with "An identically named repository already exists in this group.".

In an effort to clean up the mess I tried to delete one of the repos. This also fails with "An identically named repository already exists in this group.". Hah, the system seems to be biting its own ass...

Consider this both a bugreport, and a call for help to the developers to clean up the empty repos that I can't delete.

I've opened a case for this, Martijn, and we're looking into it right now. – Ben Kamens Aug 31 2010 at 17:53

Good news: we believe we've fixed this bug in the upcoming release of Kiln 2.0.

In order to fix your current situation, we can either manually edit the name of one of your repositories (with your explicit permission), or we believe you'll be able to rename the repository you'd like to delete. After the rename, you should be able to delete it.

Let us know!

Thanks Ben. I've renamed one repo and removed it. I'm good to go. – Martijn Heemels Aug 31 2010 at 20:47
