If I put a bad login into the mercurial client when logging into Kiln, it retries enough to lock me out. Can this be changed so it doesn't trip the failed login attempts count?

FYI, we determined this was a Mercurial bug fixed in 1.6 or later, upgrading from 1.5 fixed the problem of automatic-retry-until lockout on bad passwords.

We all run mercurial 1.9+ here and we still get that behaviour i.e. getting locked out after entering a wrong password once. Was there a regression or is it a well know bug? – voieducode Dec 22 2011 at 12:01

I am new to Mercurial and just encountered this. In looking around, it looks like this is an issue still affecting people, but I haven't seen a resolution posted anywhere. I am running Mercurial 2.3.2 on Win2K8 with IIS configured to serve up the repositories. Single bad password locks out the account. Any ideas?
