I read somewhere that Kiln 2.5 would be released 25.07.2011. Is this for Kiln On Demand only or will it be available for local install also at this date ?

The next 2.5 release will be available for on-site installation either on the same day, or a few days after, the official On Demand release. The main thing left is the installer, which has to deal with the myriad of Windows/.NET/SQL Server combinations we know are in the wild. That's currently going through a QA and bug fixing process. If that clears before the 25th, the release will be simultaneous. If not, the licensed release will be delayed just by what it takes for the installer to be shored up. |
