So... I read the awesome tutorial from Joel about Mercurial. I wanted the next set to be Kiln, but no dice. So I am posing the questions I have into this forum. If I understand correctly, which is most likely not the case, Hosted Kiln will act as the "Central Repository" where our local state team and offshore team can clone, and push to. Is this how Kiln would fit into our landscape? Currently we are trying to find a solution, we have went round and round to try and get TFS to work but that does not seem to be the answer. Offshore team wants to go with git....hoping to use fobbugz + kiln

Hi camrat! Yes, Kiln On Demand is a good solution for what you need. It'll let both your teams push and pull to the same place so you guys can see each other's changes (and code review them and so on). This is exactly how we use it internally here at Fog Creek. |
