I have FogBugz running locally under Windows Server 2008 Standard. My intention is to purchase Kiln to run on the same server (when available). Can I evaluate Kiln On Demand combined with my own FogBugz, rather than the On Demand FogBugz? If this is possible, how do I configure this?

No, right now it is not possible. Kiln and FogBugz do a lot of talking to keep everything synced between them, and having that go over the internet would be a big performance hit. The best suggestion I can give is to start a free trial and give it a whirl there. You won't get the nice integration between the two, but you can give Kiln a thorough test. Code reviews will work, though you won't be able to migrate them. When you decide to buy Kiln for your server, migrating the code is as easy as cloning and pushing. |
